Lynn Lockamy

LYNN LOCKAMY- a mainstay on the very competitive NY music scene is an artist to be reckoned with, having worked with Grammy Award winning artists like Billy Joel, Patti La Belle, Josh Groban just to name a few. 

Her releases  "Torture", "At the Club/ Make Me Feel Good," "Hostile Takeover" and " Warning" can be heard in the U.S. and globally and have permeated all social media platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Her recently released song “Make Me Feel Good” also known as “In the Club” currently boasts over 90 million streams on Spotify.  Released in 2021, “Make Me Feel Good”has charted as the #1 Dance single in the UK and #3 in Japan. There is nowhere that you can go without hearing Lynn Lockamy’s lyrics and a crowd singing along.
Lynn Lockamy has two singles, “Hostile Takeover and The Warning,” yielding two Top 20 Dance hits on Traxsource.com while performing hit songs in Dubai's largest venue on The Palm. To date, one of her most noted singles is “Hostile Takeover”remixed by world-renowned Grammy Award winning DJ/ Producer Frankie Knuckles. 

As a child, Lynn was already singing for notables such as former NY Mayor Ed Koch and Democratic Presidential Candidate Jessie Jackson. In her teen years, she was a member of the Grammy Award winning gospel ensemble, Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir. Lynn's first break came as a solo recording artist in her college years, when two emerging producers asked her to lend her vocal talents to their dance music tracks, "Love So Strong" and "Hanging On."  

Shortly after, Lynn found herself on a six-month gospel tour throughout Europe with Queen Esther Marrow. During that time, she started penning her own R&B songs and auditioning for Broadway. She was eventually offered the part of Joanne in the Hit Broadway Musical "Rent" three times!! 

Sneaking her demo to a limo driver, the late artist fomerly known as Prince and Matthew Knowles both heard the talent that is Lynn Lockamy and noted her as a singer/ songwriter worthy of hire. As a result of a demo submission, Lynn Lockamy was contacted by Stephanie Mills to write an original song on her up-coming album validating her song writing skills. 

Lynn  commercially released a single entitled, "Fire" produced by Kerry Chandler. She followed that dance anthem with two additional singles entitled,  "I'll Be Around & Music" which were highly successful in European  markets.  Since those releases, Lynn has penned numerous international dance hits like "You Move Me," "Someone Like You," "Torture," and "At the Club," and they have been burning up the airwaves ever since. In 2011, Lynn made her way to Shanghai, China where she performed for the King and Queen of Sweden following the world-renowned artist Janet Jackson!!! 

In 2013 while in Dubai, Lynn Lockamy was hired to headline the Diamond Conference of Dubai and Africa. In her capacity as headliner, she was both singer and bandleader and was immediately invited back to perform for four months. While there, Lynn recorded and commercially released a single entitled Hostile Takeover on Tony Records. This dance single was met with great reception leading to the follow up single recorded in London entitled, Warning, both singles brought great success and are in rotation on both terrestrial and internet radio waves. 

 While performing in Dubai for her second four-month contract, in 2014, Lynn was commissioned to perform at the Southport Weekender Music Festival in Minehead, England sharing billing with the incomparable Chaka Khan! By autumn of the same year, Lynn's music dominated the dance charts holding eight simultaneous spots on Traxsource.com which earned her the honor of "Artist of the Month" on Traxsource. Since that time the Vice President of RCA Records has used Lynn's voice to record reference vocals for the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin ironically recording Tina Turner's 80's hit "What's Love Got to Do With It?" 

 Today, a cover of Lynn’s song entitled “Make Me Feel Good” is number 1 on the dance charts in the UK and Ireland and number 4 globally with over 90 million Spotify streams and over 100,000 videos on TIKTOK using her song. 

Lynn is currently shopping for the right musical home with her Classic Soul Rhythm and Blues project featuring her songs entitled, “Too Fast Too Soon, and For the Children” in addition to a remake entitled “Oh No Not My Baby” (originally recorded by Merry Clayton).
